Josie Mann

Josie Mann is a singer, songwriter and composer with a truly distinct sound.

Her work balances cinematic scale with emotional intimacy, shaped by a refined, contemporary sensibility.

‍

A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Josie is known for her intricate vocal layering and manipulation, crafting rich harmonic textures that have become a part of her musical signature.

‍

Since joining the Sonar Music in 2022, Josie has composed across a diverse slate of screen projects spanning film, television, documentary and commercial work.  Her credits include the STUDIOCANAL feature Kangaroo (the highest-grossing Australian film of 2025), Stan’s Bump (Seasons 2–5), SBS’s Erotic Stories, documentary Inconceivable, and the AACTA-nominated film for music; The Speedway Murders, as well as Netflix’s Wellmania.

Most recently, she recorded a reinterpretation of Nick Cave’s Into My Arms for The Artful Dodger Season 2 on Disney+ streaming on Spotify.

Josie has also had much success scoring commercially for international campaigns for Telstra, McDonald’s and Vanguard.

‍

Beyond screen, Josie’s work extends into audio and installation. She composed the theme for Audiocraft’s Flirties, a finalist for Best Original Series at the 2024 BBC Audio Drama Awards and in 2026 created the theme for Masterpiece, a project by visual artist Jessica Yolanda Kaye, featuring lush, layered string arrangements.

Drawing on a broad range of influences, she creates nuanced, expressive works with meticulous sonic detail. Under her artist project Jofi, she explores R&B and pop, bringing a sharp instinct for rhythm, hooks and modern production, showcasing her breadth of musical versatility.

Josie has collaborated on numerous soundtracks and artist projects, including the globally broadcast Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks in 2025 and 2026. In 2024, she was named in IF Magazine’s “Rising Talent” list.
